Approval of Meeting Minutes 11/13/03
Minutes were approved by Board with no changes.
Photographer
Jim Hanson gave a brief history of past photographers. It was decided
that we would table this issue until June 2004 meeting. Initial reaction
would be to go with Dolfen Photography. It will be voted on in June
2004.
Fundraising
Carl gave a brief discussion regarding the meeting with theVillage Recreation
Board that Korey Frey and he attended. There seems to be good feedback.
The goals that are located at Cottage Grove belong to the rec. department
and can be moved to accommodate our needs for field use. Fundraising
was also an issue in regards to getting money for future soccer fields
located at Firearms Park.
Carl recommended that Ann Manz be removed from the Equipment
Manager position and appoint her Fundraiser Coordinator. We would like
to see Ann focus on fundraising, with her expertise in this area she
would be a value to the Soccer Club. Ann accepted the position of Fundraiser
Coordinator. Ann suggested that getting started in late spring/early
summer would be a good time. She also recommended that fees increase
$20.00 to help start the fundraising. Ann also recommended that the
club get set up for non-profit. She will check into this and get back
to the board. Ann is currently involved in the PTO non-profit, so will
have contacts in getting information for the soccer club. The board
agreed to place $2,000.00 aside in the budget to help cover this cost.
Fundraising ideas were: Firemens Festival, decal’s, concession
stand at MGHS. It was also suggested that a separate Savings Account
be set up for Fundraising.
New goals
Carl mentioned that Keith McHugh with MAYSA is looking into new goals
and questioned whether we are interested in getting goals. It was agreed
that we look into the new goals, as long as they are portable so that
they can be moved to the new fields when they are available. Carl will
follow-up on this with Keith.
Changes for Fall 2004
Carl mentioned the new changes that will be in effect for the fall season.
