Cottage Grove Soccer Club Meeting Minutes

Logo
Carl brought several logos to the table to get board suggestions. It
was decided that the logo with CGS with Soccer ball to be the best choice.
Suggestions as to changes to be made were adding the word club, keeping
the font, changing the color to royal blue, and softening the background
to a silver streak. This logo will be used for Website and future uniforms.
Web page
Web page is up and running. www.cottagegrovesoccer.com It was suggested
that a link be added to the home page for Meetings (then off that link
coaches meetings)
Scrapbook – table this for future discussion
Schedule- Add link to home page
Soccer Clinics- add link to home page or link it under the Coaches Corner
or Events link.
Coaches Corner – add information about the E-License
Coaching Course, at Cottage Grove, Town Hall, August 13-15, 2004 and
the G-License Coaching Course at Cottage Grove, September 7, 2004, Location
TBA.
Registration form: add link to home page (either have
the registration form on-line or link back to MAYSA for form) New members
can print the form on-line and mail directly to Jim Johanns.
Carl suggested that the club purchase DreamWeaver Program,
the software used for updating the web page. This would eliminate the
Webmaster that we currently have. This updating would be done by either
the president or the secretary.
Software is approximately $600.00. Ann motioned to approve purchase,
Mussie seconded, motion carried.
Registration Fees
It was recommended that registration fees be increase to:
U8 and up - $65.00
K1- $50.00
Classic- $100.00
Ann motioned to increase fees, Mussie seconded, motion carried.
K-1 Program
Carl had a meeting with Lenny Komorowski regarding the K-1 program.
Lenny would like to step down if there are any volunteers out there
to take his place. Recommendations for new K-1 program format are: K
vs. K, practice from 9-9:30AM game at 10:00AM. 1st grade vs 1st grade,
practice at 10:00-10:30AM games at 11:00AM. Two games going simultaneously
with 3 v 3 and no goalie. Coaches and assistant coaches will be the
referees. Motioned by Hanson, seconded by Manz, motion carried.
Camps
UW wants to come and offer a UW Soccer Clinic. It was suggested that
these camps be listed on our web page.
Gym rental
The rental for gym use for fall has increased to $12.50.hour for Taylor
Prairie and $24.00 for Cottage Grove. Due to the increase and amount
of usage scheduled this item will be tabled for fall meeting.
Banquet
Discussion of an end of the year banquet has been tabled until the fall
meeting.
